!!College Night Life Back in the Boro!! August 15, 2006

Fall semester is almost here, well actually class started the 14th for UNCG. Class starts the 21st for A&T. But onto the subject, for a couple of weeks students have been moving into their apartments and dorms and I’ve been seeing that the clubs have been packed. Strolling downtown at night is crazy!! So with so many Back-to-School parties going on, it’s so hard to choose from. “What’s parties gonna be hot? What are they charging? How far is it?” These are some the questions I hear all the time.

I’ve got word on one of the HOTTEST parties Greensboro’s Back-to-School has seen in years. The N.C.E.A is hosting a party at The Ballroom featuring none other than GIRLS GONE WILD and MTV. You already know what Girls Gone Wild does and MTV will be there to capture it all. The Ballroom will also be featuring one the Real World cast members.

Everyone should come show there support and help put Greensboro on the map!!! -lol

MEETUP; It’s Wsup!! July 14, 2006

I’ve recently got on to , where you can find groups of people in your city that have the same interests as you. I personally have joined a Bloggers Group, a Spanish Speaking Group, a Sign Language Group, and a Web Design Group. Yesterday(Thursday) we had a Web design meeting where John showed us how to edit a webpage my manually typing HTML and CSS.

Last week I attended my first Spanish speaker meetup and it was lot’s of fun. There were about six of us from all different backgrounds and we just talked about different things and found out why/how we got into Spanish. We also ate some grrrrrrrrrreeeat Mexican food.

I think that Meetup is an amazing site and should definitely be shared. Check it out and if you don’t find anything you like at least tell someone else about it; your homeboy might be looking for some people to go figure skating with

Hip Hop Gives Back July 4, 2006

This Monday with the help of my good friend, I was able to get to come to my job and spend some time with the kids. My good friend Anton Lindsay called me saying that he would have some time with JIBBS while they were in Greensboro promoting his new single. Since JIBBS is still a minor and can’t really hit the nightclubs and bars, he wanted to do something in the ‘neighborhood’, so I told Anton there’s nothing better for him to do than come show some love to the local kids.

At the Central Unit Boys and Girls Club here in Greensboro, JIBBS came to show the kids his new dance and sign some autographs. Here’s a clip of JIBBS and his homeboy dancing for the kids and then the kids quickly picking it up and joining in.

It was great that this busy artist could take the time to stop and give back to his TRUE fans, the kids. He said that the kids were great and got into the music and dancing so much, he’d have to make a trip back soon.

According to the label, there are bigs plans for the young 17yr old star and we definitely wish him the best. Also Check him out on Myspace.
